Sydney has its fair share of touristy things to do and see, but what better way to truly feel like a local, than strolling around some of the city's best markets?

See what the city has in store with the help of your Sydney city accommodation, the Macleay Hotel.

The Rocks Markets

The Rocks is one of the most iconic landmarks in Sydney – home to a rich, convict history and the oldest pub in the city, Fortune of War. This cobbled-street suburb also happens to be just a half hour public transport journey from your Potts Point hotel, making visiting their infamous weekend markets incredibly easy.

Find more than 200 stalls selling everything from boutique jewellery to locally-made homewares and artisan food items, amongst much, much more!

Potts Point Markets

Even closer to home, you can spend a lazy Sunday afternoon strolling around the various stalls of the Potts Point Markets – just 350m away from The Macleay Hotel, by the El Alamein Fountain in Kings Cross.

Discover local delicacies and foreign flavours while perusing vintage, one-of-a-kind treasures from the many antique vendors. One particular stall drawing in crowds with their grilled-to-perfection toasties is Great Wheels Of Cheese who serve up stringy-cheese sandwiches to rumbling bellies at Potts Point Markets.
